Scientifically known as selaginella lepiodphylla, it is more commonly known as The Resurrection Plant. In the spiritual world it is associated with rebirth, protection, abundance, and trusting the unknown. It does not need any soil and is indigenous to the deserts of the western US and Mexico. At first sight, Rose of Jericho looks as though it is dead, useless, and hopeless. But, when you add the roots at the bottom of the "ball" to water, you can watch this plant come back to life. Use it for 7 days, sprinkling the water at doorways, in mop water, in baths, etc. for cleansing and protection. After a week, take it out of the water, allow it to draw back up and store it in a dark dry place for at least another 7 days before you use it again. This plant has been known to resurrect for up to 10 years!
